As the new school year begins, we remind families that students may only be released to a parent, guardian or trusted adult who appears on a pre-approved list provided by the parent. This includes students being picked up from school, athletic games or practices, and any school sponsored-event.

District policy #5162 states: “No student may be released from school to anyone other than the parent, guardian or child protective services personnel and law enforcement officers pursuant to law, unless the individual’s name seeking release of the student appears on a list provided by the parent or guardian.”

Students are not permitted to be picked up by taxis or ride hailing services such as Uber and Lyft.

This District policy is in place to keep our students safe, which is our top priority. If you have any questions, please contact the Superintendent’s Office at 518-207-2531.
