COVID-19 Updates and Information

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Genet kindergarten students readingJoin us for the inaugural Genet Family Reading Night on Thursday, January 25 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Students and their families are invited to enjoy an evening of reading books and listening to some of your favorite Genet teachers and staff read to you!

  • 6:30 p.m. – Join us in the auditorium to hear a special guest reader
  • 6:45-7:30 p.m. – Listen to teachers read (a schedule will be available that night)
  • 7:30-8:00 p.m. – Read in the cafeteria with a snack. Bring a favorite book to read alone, with a friend or with your family.

All minutes can be counted towards your Ronald McDonald reading goal!

Parents/guardians must accompany their child during the event.
