COVID-19 Updates and Information

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. Due to the anticipated winter storm with a forecast for significant snow beginning midday tomorrow, East Greenbush Central School District will operate on a half-day schedule and close early on Wednesday, March 7. Schools will be dismissed at the regular early dismissal times (see below) and students will be dropped off at their emergency dismissal locations unless they are picked up from school by their parents.

Closing early will allow the district to transport students home and avoid the heaviest part of the storm while giving as much notice as possible to parents who need to make child care arrangements.

Early Dismissal Times

  • Columbia: 10:03 a.m.
  • Goff: 10:40 a.m.
  • Genet: 11:10 a.m.
  • Bell Top: 11:30 a.m.
  • DPS: 11:30 a.m.
  • Green Meadow: 11:30 a.m.
  • Red Mill: 11:30 a.m.

There will be no after school activities/programs on Wednesday.

Greenbush Child Caring will be closed in the afternoon.

The Budget Review Session on Wednesday evening will be postponed. It will be added as a presentation to the Board of Education meeting on March 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Central Administration.

The 5-Hour Pre-licensing course scheduled for March 7 and 8 at Columbia High School will now be held on March 8 and 13, from 6:00-8:30 both evenings.
