COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

Bell Top students and staff are invited to participate in the Literacy 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 6 at the Schodack Island State Park in Schodack Landing, N.Y. This literacy and wellness opportunity includes a guided nature walk, a story walk and a youth mile run.

The event is sponsored by the Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County, which is a volunteer group that reads to Bell Top students throughout the school year.

Event Schedule
7:45 a.m. – Registration
8:15 a.m. – Guided Nature Walk: $10 Pre-registration*; $15 Race day
9:00 a.m. – Story Walk (ages 8 & under): Suggested $5 or donation in any amount
9:30 a.m. – Youth Mile: $10 Pre-registration*; $15 Race day
10:00 a.m. – 5K Trail Run/Walk: $30 Pre-registration* (3/1 – 5/6) | $35 Race Day
11:15 a.m. – Awards Ceremony
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Music: Viewpoints
*All pre-registration fees include park entrance fee
