COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

Bell Top Elementary School is now accepting nominations for the annual Bell Ringers Wall of Fame. This honor is bestowed upon former Bell Top students who have attained significant accomplishments in the areas of Academics, the Arts, Citizenship, or Athletics.

According to the school’s nomination committee, any citizen may nominate a former Bell Top student who they believe has made an outstanding achievement and/or commitment in any of the criteria areas. Students from Columbia High School’s Class of 2017 will automatically be recognized and inducted into the school’s Wall of Fame if they have graduated Valedictorian, Salutatorian or Summa Cum Laude.

Nomination applications can be requested by phone (518-207-2600). All nominations must be received by Friday, June 8, 2018.

This year’s Wall of Fame selections will be invited to the induction ceremony on Monday, June 18 at 2:15 p.m. at Bell Top Elementary School. The honorees will also have their names engraved on a plaque, which is prominently displayed at the school.
