Genet Elementary School signDear Parents and Guardians,

Our guiding principle for the month of October will be “courage.” We will be talking with our students about having the courage to stand up for others and “to do the right thing, even when no one is watching.” We also like our children to think about courage in terms of trying things, or persevering in things, that seem difficult or challenging. Having the courage to try, and not being afraid of possible failure, builds resilience in our kids. Resilience will help them meet whatever challenges or difficulties come their way as they continue to learn and grow. We are looking forward to our Morning Program Kick-off for the month of “courage” by our 2nd Graders on Friday, October 5th, at 9:00 a.m.

Thank you for supporting our initiatives at school and for discussing good character at home also!

Best regards,

Ana Yeomans
