Green Meadow 5th graders created super artwork recently by putting their own names into a comic book theme. The project focused on the art elements Line, Shape and Color and used onomatopoeia from vintage comic books to tie in ELA standards. Students researched the work of pop artist Roy Lichtenstein and contemporary graphic novel artists for inspiration.
“The students did a phenomenal job and had a great time working on this project,” said Art Teacher Karli Powers. “I am so proud of them!”
