Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. One in eight children in America has a diagnosable anxiety disorder, but anxiety can be hard to recognize because it often masquerades as anger or behavioral challenges. East Greenbush Central School District acknowledges that issues such as this are a shared responsibility so it is offering a free workshop for parents on Wednesday, January 9 that will allow for collaboration and rich discussions regarding strategies and tips for recognizing anxiety in our children.

This workshop will show parents what to look for, and how to recognize different types of anxiety, such as perfectionism, separation anxiety, phobias and generalized anxiety. Parents will also learn tips and strategies for helping children cope with and overcome anxiety.

The presentation is open to all district parents and will be led by Dr. Jennifer Bashant, a social worker and education trainer.
