COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

March has arrived and with it numerous events and activities!

Lip Sync takes place this coming Friday, March 8th at 6:30 PM.  I can’t wait to see our students performing and I hear that the Faculty number this year is dazzling.  Hope to see you there!

Special thanks to our Genet PTO for sponsoring, and coordinating district-wide, the Park Playhouse presentation of “Dear Edwina.”  K-2 students will see the performance on Wednesday and Grades 3-5 on Thursday.  We appreciate the PTO bringing live theater performances to our school.

Second Term Report Cards will be coming home with all K-5 students on Wednesday, March 13th.  The district has set aside a half-day of Parent-Teacher Conference time on the afternoon of March 14th.  I would encourage you to contact your child’s teacher to set up a time to meet should you have any questions or concerns about your child’s progress to date.  Our teachers always appreciate the opportunity to meet with you.

Stay warm, there’s only 20 days left till Spring!

Best regards,

Ana Yeomans
