Columbia High School won a Chemistry Olympiad competition on Saturday at Shenendehowa High School, placing first out of seven local high schools. Columbia students took six of the first 10 places, with Owen Ball securing first place overall in the competition. Nina Tedeschi, Lindsay Conboy, Sydney Sill, Ryan Allen and Noelle Maloney also placed in the top 10.
Additionally, Mr. Ball and Mr. Allen were asked to compete in the National Chemistry Olympiad being held later this month.
