Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. Students and teachers at 2019 High School Regional Art ExhibitionColumbia High School students Kate Aluise ’19, Lindsey Conboy ’20 and Mia LaPietra ’21 have had artwork accepted to the 20th Annual High School Regional Juried Exhibition at the Albany Center Gallery.

The High School Regional is a juried show with approximately 520 pieces of student artwork submitted by 24 school districts. Only 107 works were accepted into the show and displayed at the exhibit earlier this month. The show runs through May 3.

This is Ms. Conboy’s second year in a row having artwork accepted into this highly competitive show. Her colored pencil still life titled “Finding the Words” was created in Ms. Valerie Gordon’s Advanced Studio Art class.

Ms. Aluise and Ms. LaPietra each submitted silver gelatin prints that they created in Ms. Andrea Neiman’s Photography class.
