COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

Shirt design

Proceeds from the “Equality is Greater than Division” shirt will benefit the Columbia High School Class of 2022, Columbia Unified Sports and the Multicultural and Tolerance Fair.

Columbia High School’s Class of 2022 is selling shirts to promote positivity, acceptance, compassion and tolerance throughout the district. The shirt design contains three simple mathematical symbols which translate into the meaningful sentence “Equality is greater than Division.”

Shirts cost $12 each and are available in a variety of styles and colors: Unisex (Black, Columbia Blue, Red) and Women’s v-neck (Black, Red).

Please note that profits from the sale of the shirts will be shared among the Class of 2022, Columbia’s Unified Sports Team, and the Multicultural and Tolerance Fair.

All orders and payment are due by Tuesday, May 21.
