COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. This is a walk-in clinic. No appointment is necessary.

Water fountains are back in service at Bell Top Elementary School. The City of Troy lifted its boil water advisory over the weekend, which had been affecting water service at Bell Top.

East Greenbush Central School District was notified on Thursday morning that a water main break in the City of Troy affected Bell Top Elementary School. The issue has been repaired, but it will take some time for the school’s water tanks to re-fill.

The school will open at its normal time and be provided with cases of bottled water by the school district for students and staff. Lunch at Bell Top will not be affected.
