Dear Parents,
On behalf of the Red Mill staff and PTO we are pleased to invite you to our 2019 Open Houses on the following dates:
- Grades 3-5 Open House – Thursday, September 19th
- Grades K-2 Open House – Thursday, September 26th
We are using a two (2) night Open House schedule so that parents with several children at Red Mill will find it easier to attend. This system will also decrease our overall parking problems as well. We have moved to this concept in an effort to be more informative regarding our curriculum, the New York State assessments, and student expectations.
Once again this year we are implementing an adults only Open House format for grades 1-5 on the two September dates.
Our Kindergarten Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 26 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in each of the four Kindergarten classrooms. Kindergarten is the only grade level that is set up to be a family event. Kindergarten students and their parents are encouraged to visit their classrooms and the Book Fair together.
Open House Time Schedule
5:30 p.m. – Book Fair Opens – Lower Gym
6:30 p.m. – Welcome Remarks from the Principal
7:00 p.m. – Classroom Visitations and Presentations for Grades 1-5 (Kindergarten Classroom Visitation begins at 6:30 p.m.)
8:00 p.m.-8:45 p.m. – Book Fair remains open
Our Red Mill School P.T.O. is again sponsoring the Book Fair from 5:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. in our lower gymnasium on both evenings September 19 and September 26 .
Please take the time to tour the Book Fair either before or after your classroom and special area visitations.
