Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Winning team at SeanStrong Kickball TournamentFormer student Sean Jucha was honored in a very fitting way on Sunday with students, families and the community coming out to play in the 4th annual SeanStrong Kickball Tournament at Genet Elementary School. The popular event is held each year in memory of Sean who passed away in 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

The event, which was organized by Sean’s friend Megan Washock ’21, raised $3,700 this year. The proceeds will be donated to The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund for cancer research.

Over the past four years, the tournament has raised more than $12,000.

Thank you to all of the participants, volunteers and donors for making this event possible!
