Former student Sean Jucha was honored in a very fitting way on Sunday with students, families and the community coming out to play in the 4th annual SeanStrong Kickball Tournament at Genet Elementary School. The popular event is held each year in memory of Sean who passed away in 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
The event, which was organized by Sean’s friend Megan Washock ’21, raised $3,700 this year. The proceeds will be donated to The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund for cancer research.
Over the past four years, the tournament has raised more than $12,000.
