Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

The annual Goff Halloween Happening is scheduled for Friday, October 25, for 6th, 7th and 8th Graders who have exhibited good behavior at school. The cost for each student is $6.00.

Wristbands are used for entry instead of tickets. The price of the wristband is $6.00 and will be sold Thursday and Friday during your child’s lunch period. In order to purchase a wristband, your child must have a signed permission slip and no significant discipline referrals. Permission slips will be given out in school on Wednesday, but will also be available online on the school’s website. Students must bring the permission slip in signed with them on Thursday or Friday. When your child purchases a wristband, it will be placed on their wrist. If they have a sports game, their wristbands will be given to them Friday morning before school at a table in the front lobby. Wristbands will not be sold at the door. Refreshments, Halloween activities, and games will be available. Please send your child in with small bills.

The Goff Halloween Happening will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sixth grade students should be dropped off between 6:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Seventh and eighth grade students should be dropped off between 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Any student entering after 6:45 p.m. must have their parents escort them to the door. ALL students should be dropped off at the cafeteria and should enter though the cafeteria doors. No students should be brought to the Halloween Happening before 6:00 p.m. Each student is expected to remain the entire time. Parents are responsible for providing transportation home from the school. At the end of the Halloween Happening, to keep the flow of students safe and orderly, sixth graders are to be picked up at 8:00 p.m. Seventh and eighth graders are to be picked up at 8:30 p.m. Drivers with last names starting with A-M are to pick up their children on the garden side of the school as students will be dismissed from the end of the Green House hallway. Drivers with last names starting with N-Z are to pick up their children from the main entrance of the parking lot as students will be dismissed from the cafeteria doors. Students may not walk home.
