The East Greenbush school community started the holiday season by giving back to local charities and other worthy causes ahead of Thanksgiving. Thank you to all of the students, families and staff who supported these efforts!
- Columbia Key Club donated 615 servings of applesauce to the Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner
- Red Mill donated 1,548 cans of cranberry sauce to the Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner, more than triple the school’s original goal
- DPS donated 286 cans of green beans to the Equinox Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner
- The Transportation Department donated 50 turkeys to the Nassau Resource Center for Thanksgiving baskets
- The East Greenbush Teachers Association donated $415 to the Greenbush YMCA to help purchase food for its Thanksgiving dinner Basket Brigade initiative
- Green Meadow Student Council organized a food drive to help replenish the CoNSERNS-U Food Pantry by collecting more than 500 items
- Goff students made holiday cards and donated items for care packages that will be sent to U.S. troops who are serving overseas
- Goff Peer Leadership organized a can drive that collected 716 items for Hope 7 Community Center
