Goff SADD Club partnered with Capital District Tobacco-Free Communities to educate students about the dangers of tobacco and e-cigarettes at the Great American Smokeout on November 22 in the school cafeteria.
Information tables were setup so students could learn more about these topics by reading brochures and answering trivia questions. They also made informational table tents and pledged to be tobacco and vape free.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to educate students about the health risks associated with tobacco and e-cigarettes.
Parents can learn more about e-cigarettes at a free parent workshop titled “Dangers of Vaping and the Fight to Combat the Heroin and Opioid Crisis” scheduled for January 28, 2020 in the Genet Elementary School auditorium.
