Model of WWI battle

Eighth grade Social Studies students showed off their creativity and knowledge of World War I by making 3-D models, theater-of-war maps and informative poster boards as end-of-unit projects last month.

Each student chose their own topic from World War I to research and explain visually.

“Students spent several days researching their chosen topics in the Goff library and then produced awesome Museum Gallery Items that will be displayed at Goff,” said Social Studies Teacher Michael Barnes. “Students even presented projects to their peers during class to make the project a shared learning experience.”

The WWI projects are on display in the glass case just outside the 8th grade wing on the first floor of Goff Middle School, and in the classrooms of Mr. Barnes, Mr. Galvin and Mrs. Lichorowiec.
