Columbia Students Hosting Sock Drive to Benefit Local Shelter

Colorful socksStudents in Columbia’s College Prep English class will be hosting a sock drive from March 2-13 in correlation with reading the novel The Five People You Meet in Heaven.

One of the major themes of the novel is that each life affects the next. With this in mind, the class has decided to set a goal of collecting 150 pairs of socks for any age/ gender and then donating them to the shelter at St. Paul’s Center in Rensselaer. A donation box will be located outside Room S313.
