Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Columbia High School is celebrating Spread the Word to End the Word Day on Wednesday, a nationally recognized day to eliminate the r-word and to use respectful words towards people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Spread the Word encourages people to be conscious of what they do in their daily lives to support inclusion and to be aware of avoiding the use of words that could be hurtful or damaging to others.

Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) and Unified Sports members will be at a table outside the cafeteria on Wednesday from periods 4-7 encouraging as many students and staff as possible to sign the pledge banner to continue to make Columbia an inclusive place to be! They will also be selling donuts ($2 each) to benefit the Unified Sports teams.
