The following information was emailed to parents of Goff Middle School students on Monday, March 30.

At this time, based on the extended closure of not only school but non-essential businesses, Howard L. Goff Middle School will be canceling the Washington D.C. (8th grade), Philadelphia (7th grade) and Silver Bay (6th grade) field trips for the spring of 2020. It is with great disappointment that we must make this decision, but student safety is always our top priority.

We will begin refunding your payments in full (including the deposit). Your contributions will be mailed by check to your home address. If the closure stays as it is and we return to school mid-April, we will begin processing refunds at that time. If the closure is extended, we will work with our district treasurer to make other arrangements to process them as soon as possible.

The fundraiser money that was collected by the 7th grade students will be added toward their 8th Grade Washington D.C. balance. This will lower the cost of next year’s trip. Our 8th graders will have their fundraiser money transferred to their “Class of 2024” account. Any money that was donated from Catholic Charities will be returned to CoNSERNS-U. 

We would like to thank everyone for their support of these great field trips and are already looking forward to next year.
