Four Bell Top students were featured in an author’s visit to the school last month. First graders Francesca, Gianni, and Santina Cardona, and their younger brother Roberto Cardona, who is in kindergarten, are all characters in the children’s book “What’s in Nonna’s Frittata?” by Susan Kralovic and Nadia EK DePaola
The book tells the story of a grandmother, called Nonna, who makes a special frittata for her family every morning using different ingredients.
Ms. Kralovic read the book to students and then answered questions during her visit. She also helped students with a writing activity related to the story.
“We were excited to have Ms. Kralovic join us and share her new book!” said Bell Top librarian Felice Devine. “The book is particularly special to our school community because it features four Bell Top students — triplets Francesca, Gianni, and Santina Cardona who are in first grade, and Roberto Cardona in kindergarten.”
As a special treat, Nonna herself was also there for the book reading.
