Cars driving in DPS Parade

Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School students wave to teachers and staff during a parade on Monday afternoon.

Bell Top and Donald P. Sutherland Elementary Schools each organized Lunchtime Car Parades for their students on Monday, April 6. An East Greenbush Central School District bus accompanied the parades as teachers and staff honked their horns and waved to students as they drove through neighborhoods.

Students and families appreciated the parades as they jumped up and down and held signs up for the teachers.

The parades were just one of the many ways that teachers and staff have connected to students and their families during this extended school closing.

DPS teachers and staff say hello to students and their families today with a lunchtime parade! We miss you!
