Seven Columbia High School students had their artwork accepted to the annual High School Regional exhibition at the Opalka Gallery in Albany. This year, 24 districts submitted more than 500 artworks. Ultimately, 108 works by 97 artists from 22 schools were selected by a jury of local artists: Rachel Baxter, Melinda McDaniel, and Jordan Nathaniel White.

The Opalka Gallery, which has been closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, held a virtual awards ceremony and reception on Tuesday evening. During the ceremony, Columbia senior Lillia Walsh’s drawing “Family Values” received an Honorable Mention.
