Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinics this summer throughout the county. The vaccine is free and walk-ins are welcome. Clinics include: Onderdonk Park, East Greenbush, NY (Tuesday, August 10, 5-7 p.m., J&J); North Greenbush Town Hall, Wynantskill, NY (Sunday, August 22, 5-7 p.m., J&J); Stewart’s Shops, Nassau, NY (Tuesday, August 24, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Pfizer or J&J). Like Documentary imageParents and staff are invited to join a virtual screening and panel discussion of “LIKE: A Documentary About the Impact of Social Media on Our Lives” on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. The IndieFlix Original documentary reveals the true effects of technology on the brain and uncovers the impact social media can have on our lives.

More than 2 billion people have smartphones today. And we check our phones on average an incredible 150 times every day. Technology makes our lives easier in so many ways – but what is the cost of our dependence, and our children’s reliance, on screens?

Following the documentary screening, the filmmaker and a panel of experts will answer questions from participants:
