COVID-19 Updates and Information

Grades 3-5 will return for full time in-person learning starting Monday, April 26, which will fully reopen all elementary schools. The K-12 Full Remote program will still be available to families who choose that option. Due to state regulations, Columbia and Goff will remain in the Hybrid Model at this time. The East Greenbush CSD will continue to evaluate options for Columbia and Goff students to receive increased in-person learning at 6 feet social distancing where possible.

The East Greenbush Central School District was informed by the Rensselaer County Health Department today that a Howard L. Goff Middle School student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student has not been in attendance at school since November 20.

Due to the length of time that has passed since then, the county health department has advised us that there is no need for contact tracing and no one needs to quarantine due to possible exposure.

There will be no impact on the school schedule related to this confirmed case of COVID-19.

Those with questions are advised to call the county health department directly at 518-270-2655 or contact the district’s COVID-19 Coordinator at Columbia High School at 518-207-2180.
