Local Author to Read to Genet Students: Wednesday, December 16, 2020 @ 2:00 PM:

Local news personality and author John Gray will be live streamed reading to our students on Wednesday, December 16th starting at 2:00 PM.  Students will be shared a link to join the session with Mr. Gray in their Google Classroom prior to the event starting.  All students were given or will be given a signed copy of Mr. Gray’s story Keller’s Heart.  I look forward to this wonderful event for our students. Students should have their book with them to follow along during the reading.  I want to thank our PTO again for organizing this event and purchasing every student a copy of the book to own and some for our library.

PTO Fundraiser: Chuck E. Cheese: December 19th, 11am-8pm

While in the past, we have looked forward to this amazingly fun event with our Genet Families, the COVID pandemic has made us rethink this event for this year.  On December 19th, families can help raise monies for our PTO by ordering takeout from Chuck E. Cheese as part of a Socially Distant Winter Winner Land.  Please click here to download the flyer: Chuck E. Cheese Winter Winner-Land School Fundraiser – December 19th 11am-8:00 pm.  If you have any questions regarding the fundraiser, please contact our PTO at genetpto@gmail.com.

Reminder: Pet Supplies/Food Drive Ongoing:

As a reminder to our families, the Genet Student Council has sponsored a Pet Supply/Food Drive in honor or Mr. Gray visiting our students and school.  Anyone who would like to donate can do so by sending in your child(ren) will a donation or dropping off any supplies to the Genet Main Lobby.  Please click here for a flyer that was previously shared digitally and sent home this week with students: Genet Student Council Pet Food and Supply Drive.  Donations will be collected now through Friday, December 18th.

I want to thank you all for your continued support of our amazing school, staff and students.  We are here to support you and together we will continue to achieve great things for our school community!  Happy Hanukkah to any of our families that are celebrating currently and I wish you all the best this weekend and look forward to another stupendous week together with our students.

All the best,
