The East Greenbush Teachers Association once again teamed up with the Nassau Food Pantry to help them organize all of their food donations for the 2020 holiday season. EGTA members also helped deliver some of the food and helped to clear out the organizing area afterwards. Together they helped feed more than 75 local families in need this holiday season.
“I was surprised to have so many volunteers during a pandemic, but as teachers we see firsthand how hard this year has been on our families we serve and we are definitely a group that goes above and beyond for our students and the community,” said Columbia social studies teacher Daniel Wagner.
