Columbia High School placed 2nd at a local Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition sponsored by The College of Saint Rose. The sales competition was held virtually and included seven teams from five schools in the Capital Region.
Columbia’s students prepared for over a month to create a sales pitch for a college case study for the company, Cutco. During the virtual competition, the students presented their research including a buyer profile, value proposition and a customer benefit proposal.
“Mrs. Gruet and I are proud of the students’ efforts to create and prepare a presentation that was shared virtually with a panel of judges and participants of seven additional teams,” said Donna Shepardson, a Columbia business teacher and the FBLA co-advisor.
