COVID-19 Updates and Information

The Rensselaer County Health Department is hosting Pfizer Vaccine Clinics on Wednesday, May 12 (1-8 p.m.) and Thursday, May 13 (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) in the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College for individuals ages 16+. No appointment is required. Walk-ins are welcome! Please bring photo ID and insurance cards to the vaccine clinic.

Operation Graduation grads January 2021

Six students enrolled in the Operation Graduation program graduated from Columbia High School on Friday, January 29 (L to R): Matthew Matsoukas, Mason Callaghan, Evan Cicchinelli, Alex Crawford, Jason Hahn, and Nathaniel DeLaMater.

Six students enrolled in Operation Graduation earned their high school diplomas and graduated from Columbia High School last Friday. Each of the students worked diligently throughout Semester 1 to complete the necessary requirements to graduate early.

  • Evan Cicchinelli ’21 – Working for a year and then college, possibly in the culinary arts

  • Jason Hahn ’21 – Working and researching trade schools
  • Matthew Matsoukas ’21 – Enlisting in the Army and researching colleges for chemical engineering
