The Columbia Science Olympiad team won six medals at the University of Cincinnati Invitational earlier this month. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the competition was held virtually between February 11-13.

Gold medals went to Heather Bryant, Akkhil Morkonda, Teddy Howard and Joe Vitali for the Anatomy and Geo Mapping events. Other medals were won in Astronomy, Circuit Lab, Dynamic Planet and Protein Modeling.

The team returns to action this weekend for the Science Olympiad University of Pennsylvania competition.

Anatomy and Physiology
1st place – Heather Bryant and Akkhil Morkonda

1st place – Joe Vitali and Teddy Howard

Circuit Lab
3rd Place – Simon O’Connor and Ashish Roddam

Astronomy
4th Place – Shashwat Panigrahi and Joe Vitali

Dynamic Planet
5th place – Buffy (Elizabeth) Kromer and Teddy Howard

Protein Modeling
8th Place – Ekansh Agrawal (Team Captain), Krystal Li, Maria Rybakov
