Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The East Greenbush Central School District has been informed that two students and one substitute employee have tested positive for COVID-19.

Columbia High School

  • A student from Columbia High School has tested positive for COVID-19. The student’s last day in school was March 5. The district has completed its contact tracing and identified 10 students and one employee who must monitor for symptoms through March 15 as a precaution.

Howard L. Goff Middle School

  • A substitute employee from Howard L. Goff Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. The substitute employee’s last day in school was March 9. The district has completed its contact tracing and identified one student who must enter mandatory quarantine at home through March 19 as a precaution.

Genet Elementary School

  • A student from Genet Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The student’s last day in school was March 8. The district has completed its contact tracing and identified 17 students who must enter mandatory quarantine at home through March 18 as a precaution.

There will be no impact on the school schedule related to these confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The district would like to remind everyone to maintain the strong habits we are developing as a school community:

  • Avoid large and small group gatherings such as parties which bring people from different households into contact with each other.
  • Wear masks at all times when out in public.
  • Wash hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available.
  • Monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and in the event someone is sick, stay at home
