Parent Drop-off and Pick-Up Concerns:

With the increase of students returning at Genet, we have seen an increase of parents wanting to drop off and pickup their children. While we want to accommodate all request, we are beginning to impact traffic on Route 4. I ask that families please consider having your child ride the bus to and from school to help alleviate traffic congestion. If needed, I will need to make changes to our drop off /pick up schedule. If you wish to make any changes, please e-mail Mrs. Giordano at giordasa@egcsd.org.  Thank you for your assistance with this matter.  It is greatly appreciated.

Additionally, if you are new to the afternoon parent pickup procedures and we do not know you by child or face yet, please be patient with us. We ask that everyone has their driver’s license with them if we ask to see it.

Genet Running Club:

We are excited to share that we will begin holding our Genet Jaguars Running Club starting after the Spring Break. Currently we will be offering the Running Club to our 4th and 5th Graders.    Information was sent home with students this week.  At this time, we cannot have a student attend multiple sessions, as we want to ensure all that want to participate are able to do so.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our PE team: Mr. Leyhane (leyhaneke@egcsd.org) and Mr. Preston (prestonja@egcsd.org).  Please click here to view the informational flyer: Genet Jaguar Running Club Informational Flyer.

Usborne Fundraiser Update:

Thank you to everyone who ordered and picked up your items this week.  We still have some items that have not been picked up.  Please, if you ordered anything from Usborne, please email our PTO at genetpto@gmail.com to arrange to pick up your items.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Youth Baseball and Lacrosse

Last week and this week students came home with flyers regarding Spring sports for baseball and lacrosse.  Here are the flyers if you need them:

Attention 5th Grade Parents –  6th Grade Music Selection:

Today, your child’s music selection for 6th Grade was to be returned to either Mrs. Scolaro or your child’s classroom teacher.  I have attached the letter if it did not make it in by today.  Please read the letter from Mrs. Barker, Principal of Goff Middle School, speak to your child and indicate on the bottom half of the form which music selection your child would like to pursue at a 6th Grader.  Please return the bottom half of the sheet on Monday or Tuesday next week. Please click here to download a copy of the letter: Letter to 5th Grade Families regarding Music Selection for 6th Grade – DUE March 26, 2021.
