To recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, Columbia High School and Howard L. Goff Middle School are providing important resources to students.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York State has set up tables in both schools to provide information and resources and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will have an information table at Columbia next week.

On May 24 and 25, students and staff will be wearing green as part of “Get Your Green On!” This initiative helps raise awareness of mental health issues as well as breaking the stigma. The theme this year is “You Are Not Alone.”
