Attention Remote Families!!!
There is still time to indicate if you would like your child to come to our school-wide picnic on Tuesday, June 22nd. We have not heard from all of our Genet Families yet. Please take a moment to download my letter to you regarding having your child attend on this day to be part of the end of the year party with their peers. Please email Mrs. Giordano your child’s name and what they would like to eat for lunch by the end of the day on Wednesday, June 16th. Students can bring a lunch if they would prefer. Genet’s ABC Countdown to Summer Continued:
It is hard to believe that we have only 9 days left together at Genet. Our ABC Countdown to Summer continues on Monday, June 14th with the letter Rr and a Red, White, and Blue Day in honor of Flag Day. East Greenbush Pop Warner Football, Cheerleading and Dance Opportunity:

5th Grade Picnic:
On Wednesday, June 16th our 5th graders will have their class picnic at Romer Field with their classroom teachers and peers. Students will be outside from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. There will be food, candy, ice cream, a DJ and games celebrating our students. Please send your child to school on that day with appropriate clothing, a water bottle, and sneakers. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
Attention 5th Grade Families: Moving Up Ceremony – Friday, June 18th
A friendly reminder to our families regarding the moving up celebration for our 5th Graders will be taking place on Friday, June 18th. A communication was sent out from me several weeks ago. The letter can be viewed here: Genet 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony Letter.
5th Grade Trip to FunPlex – June 21, 2021
Another reminder to our 5th Grade families to please return your child’s permission slip and money to their child’s classroom teacher ASAP. If you have any questions or need a replacement permission slip, please contact your child’s teacher.
I want to take a moment and thank all of you and our PTO for organizing the Genet Staff Appreciation Luncheon. It was truly an enjoyable time for all of us here at Genet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
