The East Greenbush Central School District will begin allowing the public to once again attend Board of Education meetings in person starting with the Tuesday, July 13 meeting in the Columbia High School Library following the expiration of executive orders related to the COVID-19 state of emergency.
School districts had been given authorization by the state to meet virtually during the pandemic to limit the spread of COVID-19. That authorization has ended and meetings will now be open to in person attendance. Meetings will continue to be live streamed for the convenience of the public at www.egcsd.org.
Seats at meetings will be socially distanced and fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear face coverings.
Public comments can be made in person during the Public Forum portion of the meeting.
