Genet Elementary School is hosting an Ice Cream Social for all students and their families on Friday, September 10 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the courtyard behind school.
While we are excited to welcome back our students and their families, we are looking to get an idea of how many families are going to be attending. To make the event enjoyable for all, there will be a few protocols put in place to help reduce congestion during our event.
- Ice Cream will be pre-scooped and will be “grab and go” from the ice cream center. Families can take their ice cream to the the various topping stations around the courtyard.
- Pods of chairs will be located within the courtyard and on the grass for families to sit and eat together if they choose.
- The playground will be supervised and the number of students will be limited at one time. Families will be given a ticket to enter the playground and the number will be limited to 25. This will help alleviate congestion on the playground. Each group of 25 will be given 15 minutes.
- While this is an outdoor event, we highly encourage all to wear a mask at this event. We also encourage social distancing while eating.
