Sandwiches and salads in display caseSchools across the country continue to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in a variety of ways. The most recent effect has been changes to school meals caused by supply chain issues in the food service industry. Certain products are not being manufactured, they are on backorder or limits are being placed on the quantity that can be purchased.

While kitchen staff are doing their best to be creative and deliver nutritious and delicious meals to students, the choices offered may not always reflect what is on the breakfast and lunch menus that are printed each month.

The Food Service Department will do its best to notify families and students ahead of time if a menu item is changed. And parents can be sure that their children will continue to receive healthy breakfast and lunch daily despite these national chain supply issues.
