Historical Halloween PumpkinsColumbia students in Global History created historical pumpkins for Halloween as an extra credit assignment. Students created pumpkins reflecting topics such as Japanese feudalism, women’s rights, the French and American Revolutions as well as historical figures including Winston Churchill, Galileo, Confucius, Jesus, Julius Caesar and Napoleon.

“This was a great way to have Halloween fun and still think about history at the same time,” said Social Studies Teacher Wendy McAlonie.

Students will be voting on Monday for the best pumpkin representation of history.
