Dear Bell Top Families,

Students were able to show their autumn spirit by participating in the Bell Top Pumpkin Run. All students received a small pumpkin after the run was over. Thank you to our Bell Top PTO for sponsoring the pumpkin give-away and pumpkin decorating contest.

Emergency ‘Go-Home” drill

On Wednesday, November 10th we will be practicing our required yearly emergency “Go-Home” drill.  Dismissal will begin 15 minutes earlier than usual. Students will be dismissed to the location which you have indicated on the student verification form in the event of an emergency closing. All student pickups on this day need to be done by 3:05 p.m.

Kooper the therapy dogTherapy Dog

Meet Kooper, our new therapy dog in training. Kooper is a mini GoldenDoodle. He is 10 months old and very cute! Kooper has started the preliminary process of becoming Bell Top’s therapy dog. He has officially passed Canine 101 with flying colors, and has already begun the Canine 102 class. After he passes he will begin the Canine Good Citizen training. This winter he will be eligible to begin TDI (Therapy Dog Institute) training.

Report Cards

The first trimester of school ends on November 4th. Time sure does fly by! Beginning this school year all student report cards will be emailed to parents on November 17th.

Parent Conferences

There are two parent/teacher conference days in the school calendar that are coming soon. They are scheduled for November 18th and December 1st. These are half-days of school for students. Teachers will be reaching out to parents for sign-up times. Due to Covid-19 concerns, virtual conferences are recommended.

Veterans Day

I wish to extend my gratitude and appreciation to all Veterans, especially to those of Bell Top families. Their service to our country is not forgotten. This year we plan to host a Veterans Day reverse car parade on Nov 10th to honor the participating Veterans.

Book Fair

The Bell Top book fair was a huge success. The students were so excited to pick out some new books. Thank you to the PTO volunteers that helped to make this possible.

Sincerely,

Martin Mahar
Principal
