At the end of the visit, Mr. Bruel answered questions from students, including how he became an author and illustrator.
“I’ve been writing and drawing stories all my life,” said Mr. Bruel. “It turns out I do it now because I love it. And it turns out that I love it now as much as I did in first grade.”
This guest author visit was coordinated by Green Meadow Librarian Laura Wladarczyk and sponsored by the PTO.
“Our students are big fans of Nick Bruel and the Bad Kitty books!” said Mrs. Wladarczyk. “It was inspiring to hear about his writing, drawing, and to hear his advice for the young creators at Green Meadow.”
