Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. Genet’s Heroes

Genet, once again, wants to thank all of our Veterans for their service to our country. We created a flyer that was shared with our Veterans who were able to participate in the car parade, but I wanted to make sure we shared it out with our community to honor all of those who have served. You can download a copy of that Flyer here: Genet’s Heroes.

Regan’s Acts of Kindness:

Genet is helping to spread some acts of kindness as a school community to children and new babies at Albany Medical Center and Fairview Hospital (Great Barrington, MA) this holiday season. This is being done in memory of Regan Shetsky as part of Regan’s Acts of Kindness. If you would like to participate, please send in with your child(ren) or drop off NEW UNWRAPPED ornaments to the Genet Main Office through November 30th.  Here is a copy of the flyer that was shared out with families last week: Regan’s Acts of Kindness.

Sickness and Return Policy:

Just a reminder to our families about the return to school policy.  If your child(ren) is sent home from school and exhibits any symptoms of COVID-19, the district’s policy if for families to take the child to see their primary care physician.  The doctor’s office can decide to either administer a covid test (PCR) or write an alternative diagnosis on the return to school form (which can be found here: Return to School Letter).  The return to school form must be received by our school prior to the student returning to Genet.  This form can be faxed or emailed to Mrs. Condo or myself.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, please feel free to reach out to our nurse, Mrs. Condo, or myself at Genet. I appreciate your understanding regarding this matter.
