Red Mill Elementary School donated $1,298 to Equinox to support its annual Thanksgiving Dinner following a school-wide fundraiser.
This year due to safety issues involved with COVID-19, in lieu of Red Mill’s traditional donation of canned cranberry sauce, Equinox requested a monetary donation to be used for purchasing food for the feast.
The Red Mill community responded and over a two-week period in November, students donated money from home to support the fundraiser. For every dollar students donated, they were given a paper turkey to write their name on and then hang it in the school’s main hallway.
