Third grade students transformed the hallways of Green Meadow Elementary School into the streets of New York City last Tuesday when they held a Thanksgiving Day Parade for students and staff.
Inspired by the book “Balloons Over Broadway” by Melissa Sweet, the students created their own balloon characters and then walked them through school in a parade. Some of the fun balloon characters included Olaf from “Frozen,” Buddy from “Elf,” and Gerald from the Elephant & Piggie books.
Green Meadow held its own Thanksgiving Day Parade earlier this week, which was inspired by the book “Balloons over Broadway” by Melissa Sweet.
