Dear Bell Top Parents, It’s hard to believe that it is December already! Winter weather is just around the corner and snow will soon be on the way again. With that, we need to be mindful to dress appropriately for the colder weather. Students go outside for recess every day weather permitting. Coats, hats, gloves and suitable footwear is essential.

Bell Top Veterans Day Parade Character Education

Our student Character Education program focused on the theme of caring this past month. We will continue to focus on how much we care by giving to others. The Bell Top students were able to participate in a “candy give-back” for the military troops. Collectively, the students donated over 11 boxes of candy which was delivered to the local military.

Our Veterans Day parade was a huge success. The students and staff recognized Veterans of Bell Top families as they participated in a reverse car parade. Students and staff donated items to make goodie bags which were presented to the Veterans.

The Concerns-U Toy drive is another way we are showing we care by supporting local children in need. We will be collecting new toys from now until December 14th. These donations will be brought to the CoNSERNS-U holiday store where families in need will be able to “shop” without charge. Many children in our local communities will enjoy a new toy during this holiday season as a result of our generous giving. I am proud of the continued support that our families give to others.

Bell Top K-Kids

Bell Top will be continuing the tradition of participating in k-kids again this year. In addition to participating in community service, a new focus on services to school will be assisting the PTO with the creation of the school yearbook. If you have pictures of Bell Top events that you would like to share please visit the PTO website for directions at http://belltoppto.com/ and click the link on the top right corner of the homepage.

Holiday Wishes

On behalf of the Bell Top staff, I wish all of our families a safe and peaceful holiday season. Cherish the time with family and friends as you create new and precious memories.

Sincerely,

Martin Mahar
Principal
