April Bergmann-Haro
Columbia High School student April Bergmann-Haro ’23 got in the holiday spirit earlier this month when she organized a bake sale at St. Mary’s Church to benefit the area’s homeless. Ms. Bergmann-Haro raised $550.00 by selling items such as cookies, cranberry bread, brownies and pumpkin bread. Monetary donations were also accepted from parishioners.
The proceeds are being donated to Street Soldiers of Rensselaer which provides comfort and basic necessities to the area’s homeless and less fortunate.
