Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. Columbia High School has published its 2022-23 Program of Studies to assist students and families with course selections for next year. Counselors will meet individually with students in January and February to do course selection. The schedule of when each grade level is to meet with counselors is below.

  • Class of 2023: January 12, 13, 14, 21
  • Class of 2025: January 31, February 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Class of 2024: February 7-11
Prior to the counselor’s meeting, core content teachers will be making recommendations for core subjects based on students current performance. However, please keep the following in mind:
  • Core content recommendations are subject to final performance in the class.
  • All students must be scheduled for 5.5 credits each year, so will need to come prepared with electives they are interested in taking.
  • There are CTE (votech) opportunities for students entering their junior and senior years. Parents should have received communication from Questar regarding those opportunities.
  • After course selection has been completed with each grade level, an email will be sent home for families to review the selections. Contact your counselor with any changes you’d like to make.
  • July 1, 2022 is the deadline to make any course request changes.
  • August 1, 2022 is the deadline to make any level changes.
To help students plan for course selection, please review the 2022-23 Program of Studies and 2022-2023 Planning Sheet. Students are encouraged to bring the Planning Sheet to their course selection meeting.
