Meet the Candidates Night – Wednesday, May 13

Residents will have the opportunity to meet the four Board of Education candidates on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria for Meet the Candidates Night. There are three open seats in this year’s election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. Each of the four candidates will discuss their qualifications and answer questions. The event will be hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Red Mill Water Advisory

The following message was emailed to Red Mill employees and parents on Tuesday, April 12.

Dear Red Mill Staff and Parents,

The East Greenbush Central School District was informed by the Town of East Greenbush that municipal water supplied to the Hampton Manor neighborhood, which includes Red Mill Elementary School, has tested above the allowable level for trihalomethanes (THMs). 

Trihalomethanes are a byproduct of the water treatment process. They are formed when chlorine reacts with the natural organic material found in water.

While the water at Red Mill is safe to use and drink, we wanted to make you aware of this town water advisory.

The town will be sending all impacted residents a letter with more information. If you have any questions, please contact the Town of East Greenbush Water and Sewer Department at 518-477-9367.
