Nearly 100 Red Mill Elementary School students participated in the Read for Ronald McDonald House Program this winter, raising $10,456 for the charity. This donation will benefit the Ronald McDonald House in Albany, which provides a free place for families to stay while their critically ill child receives treatment from local hospitals.
The participating students read for a whopping 605,053 minutes during the Read for Ronald McDonald House Program.
During a recognition ceremony on Wednesday, each student received a certificate and the top fundraisers each won prizes and got to silly string Principal Helen Squillace, Librarian Liz Griffin and their teachers!
Thank you to everyone who supported this worthy cause!
